Spinny Fraud Experience – A Customer’s Warning

When buying a car, most people today look for trust and transparency. Companies like Spinny advertise themselves as safe, reliable, and customer-first. But after my own experience, I am forced to ask:

👉 Is Spinny fraud?
👉 Can I really trust Spinny with my hard-earned money?

Unfortunately, my answer is NO. Let me explain why.

My Case: Spinny Assured Plus Scam

I purchased a Tata Altroz from Spinny under their Assured plan (1-year warranty). During the process, the sales team strongly pushed me to upgrade to the Assured Plus plan, promising a 3-year warranty. For this, I paid ₹6,517 extra.

Soon after, I noticed an AC issue. I raised ticket no. 1401024. Spinny’s team said the problem was with the actuator and claimed it was replaced.

But when I later visited the official Tata service centre, I was shocked:

  • The actuator was never replaced.
  • Instead, the part was completely removed and bypassed with wires.
  • The Tata team confirmed: “No actuator exists in your car now.”

This means Spinny’s team lied to me and risked my car’s safety.

Spinny’s Response

When I confronted them:

  • First, they said the actuator was only “repaired.”
  • Then, when I shared proof, they backtracked.
  • They collected a copy of Tata’s invoice from me.
  • Finally, they offered me only a 50% refund of Assured Plus.

👉 But why should I accept 50%?

  • The Assured plan is already active.
  • The Assured Plus plan starts only after 1 year.
  • Since I do not wish to continue with a fraudulent warranty, I should get a 100% refund of ₹6,517.

Even the CEO Did Not Care

I even escalated this issue to Spinny’s CEO by email.
Till today, I have not received a reply.

This shows the reality: Spinny’s management does not care about its customers. If the CEO ignores a fraud complaint with proof, then what hope is there from customer care or workshop teams?

Why I Call This Fraud

This is not just poor service — this is fraud:

  • False Claim: Told me the actuator was replaced when it was actually removed.
  • Breach of Trust: Charged extra for “premium warranty” but delivered nothing.
  • Unethical Behavior: Offering only partial refund instead of full.

So the question again:

👉 Is Spinny fraud? Yes, based on my experience.
👉 Can you trust Spinny? Sadly, no.

A Warning for Other Buyers

Many people think:
“Haan reviews me 5 log bura bol rahe hain, but mere sath toh nahi hoga.”

But what if it happens to you?

Trust me, I ignored negative reviews and thought the same. Today, I regret it.

My advice:

  • Don’t blindly trust Spinny Assured Plus or their warranty schemes.
  • Even a local dealer can give more honest support.
  • Always double-check work done on your car from the official service centre.

Spinny advertises itself as transparent and trustworthy.
But in my case, they:

  • Removed a car part.
  • Lied about replacing it.
  • Refused full refund.
  • Ignored my email to the CEO.

This is not customer-first.
This is not ethical.
This is fraud.
