Hello guys, with the launch of so many great mobile phones lately, the smartphone market has become full of very tempting choices; especially, the sub 10k budget range. Many Chinese, as well as Indian Companies, have launched some great phones in this segment lately. Many companies are now focusing on this segment primarily as this is the most popular segment of smartphone market. Now a days everyone wants VoLTE supportable mobile because of Jio. So, in this post, I would be telling you the 5 smartphones that are the best buy in this price range. Let’s get started
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3:
This phone is the clear winner here. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the best phone in this range, despite the fact that it has been more than a year since it has been launched in India. The phone was voted the “MOST POPULAR SMARTPHONE IN 2016” by AnTuTu . Moreover, it also became the phone with most units sold in India ever, surpassing legendary companies like Nokia. The company sold over 60 million units in India alone. That’s a huge number considering the fact that Nokia’s claim of sales of Nokia 1100 is about 220 million worldwide. The major specifications of the phone are- 2/3 GB RAM, 16/32 GB Internal Storage respectively, 1.6 GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 650 with two custom A76 cores, Adreno 510 GPU, 16 MP Rear + 8 MP Front Camera, FingerPrint Scanner, Dual Hybrid SIM Slot, Android Lollipop with custom MIUI 7 (update available), and a massive 4100 mAh battery, all of this for just Rs. 9999(2 GB + 16 GB), and Rs. 11999(3 GB + 32 GB) respectively. All this hardware put into a beautiful metal unibody makes it the best buy below 10k. The only downside is the lack of Gorilla Glass, but it can be made up to by using a Tempered Glass.
Meizu M3 Note:
Meizu M3 Note was launched in India in April 2016 as a competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the LeEco Le 1s. The phone became very popular despite the fact that this was just the second phone of the company in India. It features 2/ 3 GB RAM, 16/32 GB Internal Storage, Octa Core MediaTek MT 6755 Helio P10 Processor clocked at 1.6 Ghz, Mali T860MP2 GPU, 13 MP Rear + 5 MP Front Camera, FingerPrint Scanner, and a massive 4100 mAh battery. The phone was priced at par with the Redmi Note 3 at Rs. 9999.Although the phone looks great on paper, it lacks a bit in terms of Camera and performance as compared to the Redmi Note 3.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime:
The smaller sibling to the Note 3, the Redmi 3S Prime was an instant hit as soon as it was launched in the Indian Market in August 2016. The company claimed that it sold over 5 million units of the phone in 3 days just via online flash sales. The phone features 3 GB RAM, 32 GB Internal Storage, Octa Core SnapDragon 430 clocked at 1.4 GHz, Android Marshmallow with Custom MIUI 8, Adreno 505 GPU , 13 MP Rear + 5 MP Front Camera, Finger Print Scanner, and a metal Unibody. All this hardware power priced at just Rs. 7999 makes it an awesome deal below the Rs 10000 budget line. Most of the Hardware is identical to the Redmi Note 3 except for the camera, processor and the GPU. The SnapDragon 430 is a monster, but it is more suitable for the more casual users. Similarly, the GPU will not be able to satisfy the standards of mobile gamers.
LeEco Le 1S:
This was probably the first phone in the sub 10k range with 3 GB RAM option. The phone was launched in February 2016, and was an instant hit, until the arrival of the Note3 from Xiaomi. In fact, Xiaomi launched the phone to compete with the popularity of the Le 1s. The phone features an Octa Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.2 Ghz, 3GB RAM, 13 MP Rear + 5 MP Front Camera , Android Lollipop, FingerPrint Scanner, Gorilla Glass 3, PowerVR G6200 GPU and a 3000mAh Battery- all of this packed in a superbly designed metal body makes it one of the best smartphones in this range. Priced at Rs. 9999, the phone was very popular and created a base for the company in India. Some Downsides to the phone are its average camera quality, relatively low battery life and overheating issues.
Asus Zenfone Max (2016):
Asus Zenfone Max was launched in May 2016, a time when the segment below Rs. 10k was booming rapidly. The phone houses a 2 / 3 GB RAM, 32 GB Internal Storage, Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Custom Zen UI,13 MP Rear + 5 MP Front Camera, Dual SIM, a Octa Core SnapDragon 615 clocked at 1.5 GHz, Adreno 405 and a Mammoth 5000mAh battery, which can give you upto 914 hours of standby time. The phone is great in terms of performance, battery is absolutely humongous, but the camera and the GPU lag a bit in comparison to other phones in this segment. The Phone is available at Amazon for about Rs 9200.
